Nitro Speed is a browser racer built around one simple pleasure: raw speed. You pick from a garage of muscle cars and exotics — everything from a classic Corvette to a modern Challenger — and tear down the track with a nitro boost on tap. The physics sit in the sweet spot between arcade and realistic, so the cars feel weighty and satisfying to throw around without demanding a racing wheel to enjoy.
Collisions actually matter here: prang your car and you’ll want to repair it before the damage costs you a race. The trick is knowing when to spend your nitro — save it for the straights where it pays off, and get your braking done before the corner rather than in it.

With realistic-ish physics and collision damage, Nitro Speed rewards smoothness over flooring it. A few things that genuinely help:
- Save your nitro for the straights. Boosting into a corner just sends you into the wall. Trigger nitro (Left Shift) as you exit a bend onto a clear stretch, where the extra speed actually pays off.
- Brake before the corner, not in it. Get your slowing done in a straight line, then ease back on the power as you turn — stabbing the brakes mid-corner unsettles the car and invites a spin.
- Repair when it’s safe. Since collisions damage the car, tap repair (R) during a quiet stretch rather than limping to the finish with a wrecked ride.
