Nonogram Master

Nonogram Master is a brilliant logic puzzle based on Japanese picross crosswords. Using the number clues along each row and column, you deduce which cells to fill in to reveal a hidden pixel picture. It’s pure, satisfying deduction — no luck involved — with comfortable controls on both PC (left-click to fill, right-click to mark) and mobile. Whether you’re new to nonograms or a seasoned solver, it’s a calming, brain-sharpening way to spend a few minutes or an hour.

Start with the biggest clues — a row whose numbers nearly fill its length gives you guaranteed cells to anchor from. Mark the squares you’re sure are empty with an X; ruling squares out is just as powerful as filling them in, and it steadily cracks the picture open.

How to solve a nonogram

Nonograms are pure logic — no guessing needed once you know the method. Start with the biggest clues: a row or column whose numbers nearly fill its length has very little wiggle room, so you can mark cells that must be filled no matter how the clue slides. Use the overlap trick for long clues, and mark cells you’ve proven empty with an X so you don’t re-check them. Crucially, work rows and columns together — a cell you fill in one row often unlocks a deduction in its column. Solve patiently and the hidden picture reveals itself.
